Black Bough Poetry
Christmas-Winter Anthology

Volume 4

Art by Emma Bissonnet

Welcome to the wintry world of the Christmas and winter anthology, volume 4 (2023/24).

We are so excited about this fourth annual anthology, which features over 125 writers from across the world (we lost count!) and is, once again, beautifully illustrated by Gower-artist, Emma Bissonnet.

This anthology has truly been a labour of love for the past 10 months; a beautiful, rewarding, intensive process of getting the poems and prose ready in order to make a hopefully pristine work.

We feature poems of pure joy, ecstasy, romance, nostalgia; equally, there are deeply affecting and haunting pieces about memories, loss and absence, a poem or piece of prose for every conceivable emotion. These are stunning, immersive, imagistic pieces taking us right there to the moment; this is also a heart-warming and therapeutic collection, given extra charge and resonance with Emma's art work.

More prose has been included in this anthology and we have the FIRST EVER hardback version, alongside a stunning paperback version.

Contributors include Rachel Deering, Vikki C, Briony Collins, Karen Pierce Gonzalez, Miles Hovey, Anne Phillips, Lesley Curwen, Jude Brigley, Saraswati Nagpal, Damien B. Donnelly, Louise Machen, Glenn Barker, Matt Gilbert, Victoria Gatehouse, Emma S. Baines, Angela Graham, Sarah Connor, Andy Perrin, Regine Ebner, Lauren Thomas, Oormila Vijayakrishnan Prahlad, Rhona Greene, Ian Tattum and many, many more.

Be prepared to be moved, thrilled, amused and touched by the talent of the Black Bough poets!

We are excited to be planning an online launch before Christmas - hope you can be there.
